Ben Jonson

This question originally asked, "In which decade of the Seventeen Century was Ben Johnson appointed as Poet Laurate?" (sic). Answer: 1610s (1617 to be exact).

The vetters pointed out that Jonson was an unofficial Poet Laureate and the first official one was John Dryden. They suggested that the question should be scrapped, or completely reworded, so as to avoid arguments; what you see is the result.
